Refund and cancellation policy
Last updated 12 October 2026
Fretwork’s paid plans are sold by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, so Paddle takes your payment and processes refunds. This policy explains when you can cancel and get your money back.
1. Cancelling
- The Free plan has nothing to cancel.
- You can cancel Player or Pro at any time from Account → Manage subscription, from the “Manage subscription” link in your Paddle receipt email, or at paddle.net.
- After you cancel, you won’t be charged again, and you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. Your progress is always kept.
2. Refunds
- 14-day money-back guarantee: if Fretwork isn’t right for you, ask within 14 days of your first payment for a monthly or yearly plan, and you’ll get a full refund. No questions asked.
- Renewals: renewal payments aren’t normally refunded, so please cancel before your renewal date if you don’t want to continue. Where the law gives you a right to cancel a renewal (for example, yearly plans in the UK), you’ll get that refund too.
- Mistakes: if you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or charged the wrong amount, you’ll get the extra payment back in full.
- When a refund is approved, your plan goes back to Free. Your progress is kept.
3. How to ask for a refund
Go to paddle.net and choose “Request refund”, or use the link in your Paddle receipt email. You can also email us at hello@guitarfretwork.com from the email address you paid with, and we’ll arrange it with Paddle within 2 working days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank.
4. Delivery of the service
Fretwork is an online service; nothing is shipped. Paid stages open on your account as soon as Paddle confirms your payment, usually within a minute. If they don’t, email hello@guitarfretwork.com and we’ll fix it straight away.
