Terms of use
Last updated 12 October 2026
These terms apply when you use guitarfretwork.com (“Fretwork”). Fretwork is owned and run by True Music School, Mumbai, India (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy and refund policy.
1. About Fretwork
Fretwork is an online guitar course: interactive lessons, skill checks, a daily practice plan, backing tracks and practice tools. It is new, and we keep improving it, so lessons and features may change over time.
2. Who you buy from
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
When you buy a plan, you also agree to Paddle’s Buyer Terms. For help with a payment, a receipt or a refund, visit paddle.net or email us at hello@guitarfretwork.com.
3. Your account
- Give accurate details, keep your password private, and use your account yourself; accounts are for one person.
- If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must create the account and agree to these terms for you.
- You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account.
4. Plans, billing and cancellation
- The Free plan is free. Player and Pro are subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly by Paddle, and they renew automatically until you cancel.
- Prices are set in US dollars. Paddle may show them in your local currency, and adds any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live. You see the full amount before you pay.
- Your plan switches on as soon as Paddle confirms your payment.
- You can cancel at any time from Account → Manage subscription, from the link in your Paddle receipt, or at paddle.net. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
- If we change a price, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and the new price applies only from that renewal.
- Refunds follow our refund policy.
5. Using Fretwork fairly
Please don’t share your account, copy or resell our lessons, try to get around the free or paid limits, interfere with the site or its security, or collect data from it automatically.
6. Our content
Fretwork’s lessons, text, illustrations, audio and software were made by us and belong to us, or to the people who license them to us. You may use them for your own, non-commercial learning. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve Fretwork.
7. Practise safely
Playing guitar is physical. Warm up, take breaks, and stop if you feel sharp pain, numbness or tingling. Our lessons are teaching material, not medical advice; if pain continues, see a doctor.
8. No guarantees
We work hard to make Fretwork accurate and available, but it is provided “as is”. We can’t guarantee particular results, since your progress depends on your practice, or that the site will always be available without interruption.
9. Limit of our liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law.
10. Suspending accounts
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we do, we’ll tell you why, and arrange a refund of any unused part of a paid period unless the account was used for fraud or abuse.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to sort out any problem. If we can’t, the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra will have jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top, and we’ll tell you about significant changes before they take effect.
