Free chord transposer
Paste a song with its chords, choose the key it is written in and the key you want to play it in. Chord lines and [bracketed] chords change, and the lyrics stay as they are.
How to use it
- Choose the key the song is written in, then the key you want to play it in.
- Paste the chords and lyrics. Lines made only of chords are moved; lyric lines are left alone.
- Turn on flats if you prefer Bb and Eb, then copy the result.
Capo or transpose?
A capo raises the sound and keeps the shapes you already know, so you play the same chords in a higher key. Transposing gives you different chord names and new shapes. Use a capo when you want easy shapes, and this tool when you want a key that suits your voice.
