Questions
What does a diminished chord sound like?
Tense and unstable, as if it is about to fall into the next chord. That is exactly how songs use it: for a beat or two before a more settled chord.
Why does one dim7 shape work for several chords?
A diminished 7th chord is built from notes three frets apart, so the same shape moved up three frets is the same chord with a different bass note.
