Questions
What is the difference between major and minor pentatonic?
They use the same shapes but a different root. G major pentatonic has the same notes as E minor pentatonic; what changes is which note sounds like home.
What is a scale position?
A position (or box) is a group of scale notes you can reach without moving your hand much, usually across four or five frets. Five positions of the pentatonic scale join up to cover the whole neck.
