Printable Guitar Fretboard Notes Chart

A map of every note on the first twelve frets. After fret 12 the notes repeat, so this is the whole neck. Natural notes are solid; sharps and flats are outlined, so the patterns jump out. Print it, stick it on the wall, and learn a string a week.

Questions

How do I memorize the notes on the guitar?

Learn the natural notes on the low E and A strings first; they are the root notes for barre and power chords. Then use octave shapes to find the same notes on the other strings. A few minutes a day for two weeks is enough.

Why is there no sharp between B and C or E and F?

In the musical alphabet those pairs are only one fret (a half step) apart, so there is no note between them.
