Questions
What are the notes of standard guitar tuning?
From the thickest string to the thinnest: E A D G B E. Remember it with "Eddie Ate Dynamite, Good Bye Eddie".
Will alternate tunings damage my guitar?
No. Tuning down a few half steps is completely safe. Tuning strings up (as in open E or open A) adds tension, so go slowly and do not go higher than shown.
