Questions

How long does it take to learn barre chords?

Most players need a few weeks of short daily practice before an F barre rings cleanly, and a few months before barre changes feel easy. Five minutes a day beats an hour once a week.

Why do my barre chords buzz?

Usually the barre finger is too flat or too far from the fret. Roll it slightly onto its bony edge, move it close to the fret wire, and pull back gently with your arm rather than squeezing harder with your thumb.
