Questions
Do I need to warm up before playing guitar?
It is a good habit. Two minutes of easy finger movement reduces the chance of strain and makes your first chords cleaner.
Which finger goes on which fret in these exercises?
Use one finger per fret: index on the first fret of the pattern, middle on the second, ring on the third, little finger on the fourth.
